Additional info & updates

6/28: It's been a while, just some final notes and answers to questions I get from time-to-time:
-- Never applied for financial aid at Duke, but I'm guessing the offer would have been pretty generous.
-- Had planned on applying to several other schools -- UPenn, Texas, UCLA, and Columbia -- but I decided not to bother after the JR2.
-- Attended the March Harvard ASW, which I really REALLY enjoyed. I highly recommend going.
-- I was never interested in SLS. It's a great law school (obviously!), but for some reason I just never fell in love with even the idea of going to Stanford.

3/20: Came home from spring break to find a Yale rejection in the mail. Not gonna lie, it hurts. But it makes my decision really easy, especially after having a fantastic time at Harvard ASW.

3/15: Put on WL at Virginia -- if I'm being honest with myself, I think it's YP. But I don't want to sound cocky, plus I'm just not that concerned.

1/18: JR2!!! Amazing, considering I just had my JR1 5 days ago! Wow, this a fantastic feeling!

1/13: JR1 today -- no idea the things were so short! We chatted for about 5 minutes, I guess it went about as well as any such conversation could...

1/8: JR1 email today!! This makes me feel a little better about last night's loss :]

12/18: NYU knocked out. Decided not to apply for the academic scholarship thing, didn't want to pigeon-hole myself.

12/12: Submitted Yale, after spending the last few days perfecting/stressing. Boy I'd love for them to come calling...

12/8: Submitted UVA, Duke, and Harvard at about 3:30 a.m. Good feeling to have those first ones done!

I don't have much firsthand experience, but I would be kind of wary of that. Your score wouldn't be ready until about January, which is a little late in the game. As a September/October test-taker last year, I recommend it! You have more time than you think to study, and you can still apply pretty early. PM me if you want to talk more.
