Did NE offer you any grants/scholarships? Also I was interested to know, given that American and NE are both strong Public Interest schools, why you chose NE over AmU? Thanks!

Hey thesimulacra, Yeah I got the Public Interest Scholarship at Northeastern--I was extremely impressed during the day I interviewed there--the whole school (professors, students, and administration) seems like it is devoted to public interest law, and the students and alumni were all really cool. I was also a bit unimpressed wtih American, as it seems like public interest law there is more of a program than a focus.

thanks!

Thanks for the response - do you happen to know anything about how many of those scholarships NE gives out? I know AmU says they give out 10 scholarships from a pool of about 200 every year... *eep*

Yeah Northeastern gave out 6 scholarships this year--I believe they received 200 applications (but not sure how many of those were admitted). I think that the number of scholarships they give out varies from year to year though. Good luck applying next year.
