Extra Curricular Information

Involved in so many things during undergrad. But truly passionate about all of them...Ok, well, most of them.

-Study Abroad in Spain, 2 semesters
-Humanity in Action Fellowship
-Internship for street social work organization in Berlin, Germany and NYC, 6 months
-Student Gov't
-Cross Cultural Center
-Afrikan Student Union
-Hip Hop Congress
-Resident Advisor
-Completed 2 Independent research projects: got University funding for both

All throughout my Undergrad years I also worked at least 20 hrs/week to help pay for school. All of these activities kind of made my GPA suffer for a year and pretty much the rest of my time trying to recover. But eh, you live and you learn.

Additional info & updates

3/3/10: First time actually creating a profile on LSN. Should've done it a long time ago.

I'm actually really shocked at the schools that I'm getting into. I think that my extras are really what are pulling me in. I'm also realizing that I applied to WAYYY too many schools. I guess I just figured that I wouldn't have as many options as I do know. But the good thing is, that I HAVE options now. I'm actually remaining a little optimistic about the more upper echelon schools that I applied to. come on UC Hastings *fingers crossed*

Thanks for your comment! I did do LEOP and was accepted through them. I'm really excited to start school and am happy to be a part of such a great, supportive program. I hope you get into Hastings! I would like to go to school outside of CA cause I grew up here and have been here for almost 30 years. I was actually kind of looknig forward to leaving. But Hastings is the best school I've been accepted into so far and I can't turn LEOP down (unless Cornell or Northwestern let me in off hold!). I wish you the BEST of luck! Maybe we'll be classmates soon!

Well it's a hard choice but at this point my decision is between Fordham and Hastings. Not sure how I'll decide yet. Good luck on your cycle!
