Additional info & updates

I've been looking through this website for the past year patiently waiting for my time in the sun. I learned so much from this site that I figured the best way I could pay it back would be by filling out a profile and making sure to fill it with as much info as possible so as to help the next Law School hopeful gather his/her needed data.

- I have not taken the LSAT yet, I'm registered for the Sept. 26th date. We shall see what happens....Good luck to all of you out there!

- 10/07/09 - Decided to cancel my LSAT score. I simply wasn't feeling good at all about it. Working my butt off for the December 5th now...

-01/15/09 - Took the LSAT in Dec. and got a 151... Of course it is not what I wanted, but I can live with it. I know once I get into Law School I will be able to prove myself. I managed to take 9 classes on my last semester of School and had a full time job (Yes, I did not get any sleep for three months) and still got A's on all my courses.

- 01/27/09 - Heard back from St. Thomas today. This is insane, it only took them 5 days to get back to me. It is official, I'm going to Law School. Not only that, but they offered me a great scholarship as well.

- I believe my LSAT / LSAC GPA are a bit misleading. I took some courses almost fourteen years ago that unfortunately never withdrew from and simply quit going because of some personal things going on in my life. Well, those courses came back to haunt me almost fourteen years later. It dropped my GPA from a 3.68 to a 2.61. I'm hoping that the schools will be able to see why that is....After a great career in the Insurance business, I decided to go back to school and do what I've always really wanted to do. So I sold my small office and at 30 years old I went back to school... Here I am three years later and I'm about to attend law school.

02/01/10 - Heard from Florida Coastal and I got accepted. This is great news. They offered me a $10,000 a year scholarship, automatically renewed as long as I maintain a 3.0 GPA.

03/08/10 - Just got a call from Director of Admissions at Dayton School of Law. I'm accepted to their Summer program....A JD in two years, this could actually work for me. I also went to trial for the first time today with the Law Firm that I work for, this has been a great day.

Yeh, I gotta tell you, it hasn't been easy. But I figured I only get one of these "lives" :) and I plan on making the most of it so here I am....Have you taken your LSAT? Any idea where you want to go? I think it always helps to talk to somebody who's gone through that path already, so certainly stay in touch.... Good luck to you as well...!

Hey thanks. Yeah I applied for the 2 year program and I'm pretty excited. It is going to be a tough decision for me, $30,000 in scholarships from FCSL is going to be tough to reject... Anyways, I'm sending good thoughts your way and hope you hear from Dayton/FCSL soon... Stay positive :0)
