Additional info & updates

Apr 28: Rejected at Hastings, although I did apply LEOP, so maybe they think that I'm not underprivileged enough. Boo~~~~ So far, it looks like it's Loyola! USC said they would get back to me the latest first week of May so I'm still kinda holding out with my fingers crossed. Although I'm very happy with Loyola. So for all those who are on the waiting list, I withdrew from Pepperdine as soon as I made my decision. Hope it'll help some of you~

Apr 21: Waitlisted at UCLA, got the letter in the mail today. Boo...

Apr 16: Got Loyola's decision in pdf format. I called and said I had to make a deposit so they emailed me instead. I'm in! Yay~

Mar 24: Got the official letter of admittance from Pepperdine. For some reason I am not as excited as I thought I would be... Plus they are offering 2k a year in grants.

Mar 22: Got my first acceptance dated 3/20! Yay! Well I think it's an acceptance because I got my own user name and password for the student portal they have. So that must mean I'm in but the formal acceptance and financial aid stuff hasn't arrived. I logged in to the student portal to check and I have my very own @pepperdine.edu email account! So I think it really is safe to say that I'm in! YAY~~~ from now on no matter what happens, at least I am going somewhere this fall!!! YAY!

Mar 7: Finally ready to go at Loyola! I called them yesterday too! And they were saying that they needed more time to process. Anyway, I'm just thankful to be complete. Now the fun can begin! Next letter I get, it will be an acceptance/rejection thing...

Feb 28: Finally complete at Pepperdine, decision in 6-8 weeks,
the email said. Still nothing from Loyola... they were suppose to update this week! UCLA sent me an email confirming that I'm complete and saying that they have received a record 8000+ applications.... Not a good thing...

Feb 22: Complete at UC Davis, just got the email this morning. Still not complete at Peppderdine, Loyola, and UCLA. What is the deal here? I'm wondering if I should call them now...
*Called UCLA: complete as of 02-21; decision by the end of April
*Called Loyola: has LSDAS, data entry not done yet; however, the office said that a decision will be made one month after completion
Wow~~~ almost complete everywhere, just two months away from the final decision... hopefully I'll be going somewhere, anywhere...

Feb 19: No news... from anyone... I'm getting nervous and I don't feel like checking my status anymore. Loyola said that it takes 7-10 business days to credit my account with the LSDAS report. They requested my report on 2/4, LSAC processed it 2/5 it has been 10 BUSINESS days! Still no change... (sigh)

Feb 11: Got email confirmation from both Hastings and USC that my file is complete! Yay... I think/hope...

Feb 3: OMG got confirmation from UCLA on the fee waiver applciation that I sent out in on Dec 27!!! UCLA is sooooo slow! Now looking at everyone's stats on this site I think I feel a bit scared... Now I wish I had the money to splurge on a prep class for LSAT and I think I should have applied to more schools... I'm seriously nervous now...

Jan 31: Got confirmation from Loyola, now I'm adding another tab to my Firefox... and am now frantically clicking refresh for both schools.

Jan 29: Have gotten confirmation from all of my schools but UCLA and Loyola... Figures... The two schools that are closest in proximity to me, and the two schools and I care to get into the most! Starting to click refresh every two seconds to check my status with UC Davis.

Jan 26, 2008: Here we go!!! Finally managed to complete all of my applciations today! Yay! I was waiting a long time for application fee waiver approval from schools before I submitted my applications and then what do I find out today?! If you have an LSAC fee waiver the majority of schools will waive your application fee in the LSAC system!!! I waited all this time for NOTHING! Stupid stupid stupid!

Hey there! Congrats on all the acceptances! I was wondering how serious you are about Pepperdine. You obviously don't have to reply at all, but if you want it to be private just send me a message! Thanks!
