Additional info & updates

1/28: In at Loyola Chicago! It feels good to know that I'm going somewhere...

Update: Went to check out the school and like it but unsure if I will go there. They haven't told me how much money I get yet...

2/5: In at Valpo with a full scholarship yay! So tempting...
I want to hear what IU Bloomington (which I'm expecting to be wait listed at) and IU-Indy say. I really hope IU-Indy gives me money to go there. I don't expect a lot. But if the tuition could be cut in half, that would be great.

***Been really thinking about my choices and thinking that Valpo would be an awesome deal. I keep checking to see if IU Indy is reviewing my file and realizing that they are really slow. Been about a month and still says "application complete". Ugh, fml. Also Michigan State wants me to send in a scholarship essay and then they will render their decision. Sounds like a good sign but I am not thrilled that I get to write another essay. Also, working on my Indiana CLEO application. :-)

2/10: Checking the online status checkers at least 2 times a day and adding St. Louis to my list...Really wanting to her back from the IU's

2/11: The place where I live sent me an email saying they had a package waiting for me in the main office. This usually means LARGE ENVELOPE=Acceptance Letter! I went downstairs to find it was a package from my grandma instead. Another day of waiting...
But my file is on review at Case Western. This is good but I don't know a whole lot about the school. Going to do my essays for Michigan State tonight.

2/12: Under review at Pittsburgh...Marquette and Case Western.

One month after submitting applications..
2 Acceptances
-Valpo
-Loyola

3 Under review (they are reading and reviewing my file)
-Pittsburgh
-Marquette
-Case Western

3 not in committee yet
-IU-Indy
-Cleveland State
-Washington University of St. Louis

1 awaiting scholarship essay (that I am writing this weekend)...kinda like being accepted?
-Michigan State

1 Not sure of my status
-IU-Bloomington

2/14: Checked my mail and saw a large envelope from IU Bloomington! Too bad it was only info about ICLEO...damn, not in yet!

2/16: IU-Indy is reviewing my file according to the online status checker. This is the school I'd really like to attend but Valpo's money is very tempting! We shall see..

2/17: Received scholarship statement from Loyola Chicago. $7,500 for my first year. Honored but almost certain that I wouldn't be attending there. The cost of attending will definitely give me ulcers if I was a law student. Does anyone else have to deal with dreamy and idealistic friends who say, "Just take out a bunch of loans...living in Chicago would be sooo fun!"? Give me a break, haha!

2/19: In at Case Western by an email!

2/20: Nothing happened today. Hoping for an eventful week! I'm on a roll now with acceptance letters. However, it is unrealistic to believe that I will get into every school...I really like IU Bloomington. I wonder, how much does it help that I'm an Indiana resident?

2/21: Accepted at Cleveland State with the Dean's Scholarship which covers In-state tuition... That basically would leave me with a difference of $6,000 in tuition. I feel loved by Cleveland! lol

2/23: Accepted at Marquette! :-)

2/24: Figuring out which school I am going to attend is probably the funnest thing I've ever done. I'm at the point in the last semester in my undergrad where I am already mentally checked out and seriously ready for a change. My "favorite" school changes everyday. Today, I say "If I get into IU-Bloomington"..I'm going. The price is right and there would be a lot of opportunities.

3/1: Checked the MSU application checker and I am in! Yay, says with scholarship but I'm not sure yet. I'm having a bad day and this makes it better.

3/1: I'm really pleased with my application cycle so far but still biting my nails. IU-Bloomington is my favorite school across the board. I REAAALLLLLY want to go there.

3/2: Yay, IU-Indy says decision sent and how there is actual numbers in my seat deposit box. I think this means that I am accepted! Why else would I owe two payments of 150 dollars? I really like this school and living in Indy. This is great!

**My cycle is almost over IU-Bloomington is the only one left that I care about. No offense to University of Pittsburgh and Washington University**

3/7: Received scholarship stuff from Marquette, 24000! Sweet deal

3/18: Okay here is the deal, I am going to IU-Indy unless IU Bloomington says yes. Sounds logical enough

Deposit time soon...

3/31: Received an acceptance from University of Pittsburgh yesterday and waitlisted (well...my application is being held) at WashU. STILL nothing from IU Bloomington. 90 percent sure I'm attending IU-Indy but IU-B's decision will validate that move. Withdrew from everything but put in my deposit at IU-Indy and put myself on Washington U's waitlist. Also, hoping to get the I-CLEO fellowship. If not, I need to find a summer job!

4/6/2010: What a great day! I found out I got into IU-Bloomington with 30,000 (for three years). I'm so excited because I really wanted to attend IU-Bloomington! I was expecting to be wait listed. Yay...end of cycle

4/15...Withdrew from: Indy and WashU. B-town it is :)

4/20: So excited about IU-Bloomington! That is all...

Marquette just sent the letter in a small white envelope. I didn't recieve an email or anything stating a decision had been made, it just showed up in the mail.
