NYU is actually one of the few top schools that does not have a PS length limit. As stated above, I submitted 3-4 pages to all schools (4 to those that required 2 essays, or had no limit whatsoever). My statement was a combination PS/diversity statement. My background is multiracial.

I guess you didn't need a safety school! UVA and NYU are awesome. What was your addendum on the LSAT about?

Thanks for the goodwill; it looks like you'll have some nice places to look forward to choosing from as well. My LSAT addendum (1 1/2 pages, 1.5 spaced) covered my history of poor performance on standardized tests relative to my demostrated academic and intellectual ability and achievement. For example, my SAT was quite low (well below the 25% at my ugrad), but I still graduated in the top 30% of my class at a top UG and had several academic distinctions, and formed close relationships with profs I worked with, etc...
