APPLICATIONS

Applied to Mich., UVA, Colum., Chicago, Penn, Berkeley, and Cornell

Nov. 29, '17
Applied to NW, Vandy, and Duke

I used a formula to delineate interests: full-time legal employment in 2016 had to be above 80%, and jobs-perceived-as-desireble employment about 65%, as these seemed natural cutoffs given the distribution among the top 20 schools. The only school that I applied to that missed these criteria was Berkeley, because I really like San Francisco and because it barely missed one criterion (by 1%). Jobs perceived as desirable comprised the following: jobs at law firms of more than 100 attorneys, jobs in business and industry, and federal clerkships.
