Extra Curricular Information

Muhlenberg Weekly Contributor(newspaper), Muhlenberg Advocate Staff Writer(newspaper), Resident Advisor, Muhlenberg Phonathon Supervisor, Academic Support Services Student Note taker, Class Agent, nearly fluent in Greek (modern) and Spanish, Dean's List last 3 semesters, Phi Sigma Tau-National Philosophy Honors Society, Incomplete Spanish Minor (due to double major and inability to petition for an additional minor), pretty good LORS (I hope), Numbers rounded down a little because I'm not sure how grade inflation works at my school

Does anyone NOT waive their right to look at their LORS?

I am an idiot and waited till absolutely everything was in before sending out any apps. Everything went complete in about a week, but I still have some weeks before hearing from some of these schools :

Additional info & updates

All Scholarships are the total for 3 years.
Ranking system: 1=I'd go there without a second thought. 2-Slightly more realistic choices, 3=I won't go there without some scholarship money and a nice visit or two, 4=Ehhh...I should probably withdraw now, but there's still a chance I'd consider it

2-10-07: In at Qunnipiac. Got a "Welcome to Quinnipiac Law" email congradulating me on my acceptance, but no mail yet...is that weird?

2-14-07 Got a letter from Qunnipiac with admissions info/scholarship amount

2-15-07 In at American..woo!

2-15-07...again, In at Northeastern, I think. Got an email inviting me to an admitted students event on campus next week. So much for giving notice.

2-20-07 In at Temple, big envelope with a nice folder and scholarship info inside! This school may move way up on my list if i qualify as an in-state resident....I pay PA taxes darn it!

2-23-07 Huge info packet from American, scholariship info from Northeastern (nice little notes from Assistant Dean of Admissions on the letter too). Also, in at Depaul through some weird email...no actual info about acceptance yet....either my school's mail system is really slow or something weird is going on w/ my acceptances.

Not such a bad cycle so far...I already have 5 schools to choose from. 1 in every city I'd like to live in except NY...I probably should have applied to a less competitive school there, but I'm from NY anyway.

3-1-07 Yeahhh! Money from DePaul. I hear Chicago is a great city...

3-5-07 Email from UPitt congradulating me and sending me info about their health law program..nice to know I got in even though I'm not at school to check my mail! ...oops, email was sent to everyone, I guess I won't know till I get to my mailbox next week :P

3-7-07 In at Villanova thanks to a small envelope arriving at my house. Would have been nervous about opening it if they hadn't also sent me a brochure for the school in a seperate envelope that I accidentally opened first!

3-14-07 Waitlisted at UPitt by email. Sent back a letter of continuted interest. I wonder if I should send them addl LORS?

3-15-07 Ding at GW. I don't mind though because I liked American better anyway.

3-19-07 University of Chicago did not want my love. I'm not disappointed because I knew I wouldn't get in, but I'm a little sad because it's so nice there.

3-22-07 I'm a little upset about BU and BC because I know there's pretty much no chance of me coming off their waitlists, but I really liked those schools!

4-02-07 Just got back from visiting NEU this weekend. I loved it there. Boston is a great city and NEU seems really unique and not nearly as cut-throat as some other law schools tend to be. Plus, I really like their co-op program. The only thing I wonder about is how I'd arrange housing if I was going to be away for a quarter. The students there told me that craigslist is pretty much a godsend, so I'm sure it would work out somehow. I'm just going to visit a few more places before I decide for sure, but I'm almost positive I'll be heading to Northeastern!!

Hey. I felt the same way about BC and BU, but the more I look into NU, the more impressed I am. I feel like alot of people attending might be in similar shoes.
