I did have a lot of fee waivers, which is why I ended up applying to most of the schools. Plus, I wanted to make sure and cast as wide a net as possible.
What exactly is a URM and why is "no" so mean?
I applied to 15 schools myself. Is it the tension and stress that accompanies applications combined with lack of cash that's got you down? I paid for all my apps and everything else (including my undergraduate) myself with the exception of 3 fee waivers.
Michigan, Chicago, NYU, Northwestern, Georgetown, Duke! Those are solid schools. Nice, nice job! You're awesome.
