Engaged to U.S citizen therefore plan to move over when I graduate law school here in a year. After marriage will become U.S perm resident so don't know if still be classed as international applicant but oh well. Need J.D to sit bar in state I plan on residing (IL) so applying for law school in US.

Don't know how my UK degrees transfers to GPA but to be accepted on my MSc the international applicants needed a GPA of at least 3.5 so I'm guessing my grades are somewhere around there.

Any advice on applications/personal statements would be grateful as I don't have any sort of academic advisor here who knows anything about U.S law schools!

I know I put a lot down in the extracurricular stuff but I really have no idea what these schools are after!

Oh also any advise on which schools to apply to based on my stats would be grateful, so far looking at all ones around IL but am open to suggestions!

Advance standing for previous law school

As a fellow foreign law graduate and holder of a common law LL.B. from a major Western country, can you tell me if any of your listed target schools other than Northwestern and Kansas intend to grant you advance standing for your legal study in the UK?
