1/21: email from Brooklyn, accepted with full tuition!

1/25: email from Temple, accepted with full tuition! 4 for 4 so far! :)

1/27: letter from Seton Hall, accepted with full tuition!

1/28: letter from Syracuse, accepted with full tuition!

1/28: email from GW Law, accepted with $35,000/year scholarship!

2/17: request for group interview at Georgetown

3/2: placed on reserve at Cornell

3/3: CUNY Law emails interview request for a fellowship that would give full tuition + a $10,000/year stipend

3/4: waitlisted at UPenn

3/9: group interview with Georgetown. should receive a decision in 2 weeks or less.

3/10: call from Boston University, accepted! Scholarship info incoming in the mail

3/15: email from Fordham, accepted! Package incoming in the mail.

3/15: Also, my BU package came, but I wasn't offered any scholarship which I thought was weird. Emailing to negotiate.

3/18: BU offered me $35,000/year!

3/18: Fordham offered me the same, $35,000/year!

3/18: and unfortunately placed on Georgetown's "preferred waitlist"

3/21: phone/skype interview request for UVA!

3/22: put on reserve at Columbia!

3/28: rejected from Harvard :'(

3/30: waitlisted at UVA. surprised since the interview went well! :( that's the end of the cycle though. will be making a decision soon and seeing about waitlists over the summer.

3/31: I had asked GW for a scholarship increase, they raised it from 35k/year to 38k/year.

put down my deposit at Cardozo!

4/27: GW emailed me to increase my scholarship to 46k a year

6/2: UVA offered me a spot off their waitlist! really excited, but unfortunately no scholarship. makes my decision a lot harder :(

6/7: Cornell asked me to interview (!)

6/8: Second reserve at Columbia

6/9: got an email from Georgetown that basically says I'm accepted! Letter coming in the mail :D

6/15: Cornell accepted me :DDD

6/20: can't believe it, Georgetown offered me $20,000/year

UPenn and I have been talking, they basically said they're interested and they'll let me know how much money they can offer me/i could get from need-based, and then I say whether I'm still interested or not. The need-based money I qualify for would be $25,000 spread out over three years.

6/22: Cornell offered me $10,000/year I know it's low but wow!

I am impressed! I have almost exactly the same numbers. What do you think did it for you? GPA?

Thank you! I'm really not sure. Since they mostly make decisions off of lsat/gpa, I guess it was the gpa. But I think that my personal statement and LOCIs definitely helped. Also just not being afraid to reach out, like with scholarships, is key there... I did get the waitlist offers after updating my resume, so maybe that/just keeping yourself in their mind did something. Good luck with your cycle!
