Cycle Summary

9/8 - SHOCKED to hear from UVA as an RD applicant.

9/28 - In at Duke via PT on Day 9.

10/15ish - Got re-called with the first normal round of UVA RD admits, all of whom were offered scholarships. Was offered a 75k scholarship. Disappointing.. Pretty much scratches UVA off my list from being around the top.

11/7 - Harvard interview email

11/9 - In at Michigan via ASW - packet probably another week! So happy as this is a top choice!

11/21 - KB2! Wow! In at Harvard!!

11/22- Withdrew from Duke, so I never made it to the scholarship part of the assessment in case that throws people. It doesn't happen until Dec-Jan this year and I know the outcome wouldn't matter at this point.

12/15 - In at Stanford via email! Floored! And then floored to find out my hotmail had filtered my Darrow invite out. I think it went out a week or two earlier, but I found out today! Today was a GOOD day!

12/16 - OK it was clearly just a great week, because Yale called today! Can't believe how incredibly lucky I've been this cycle. I have to say though, the key to the last 3 bits of good news was to totally give up hope. One was a 6PM email from Stanford while I was eating dinner and Yale called around 4:30 PM on a Friday night. Right when you least expect it...only Chicago left to hear back from now. I'm assuming they will do as they usually do and notify the first round of admits the first week they are back in Jan, preceded by a Tweet that day that decisions are going out. That means no more status checkers, no more sitting on my phone! Whew!

1/10 - Darrow plus stipend. So honored and now its all about deciding....this will be very difficult to walk away from though given that Michigan is a really fabulous school and has always been hanging out with 2 other schools at the top of my list.
