3/21 Received phone call offering admission to Chapman and scholarship information!

3/21 Received email offering admission to Seattle!

3/22 Decision rendered according to status check on La Verne's website. Should receive info via snail mail in the next few days.

3/25 "In Review/Committee" at the following schools: Santa Clara, Pacific McGeorge and Pepperdine

3/26 Admitted at La Verne. Scholarship info coming later.

3/28 Admitted at Santa Clara! Informed via status checker. Packet has been mailed.

3/28 Received packet from Chapman. I've received another scholarship, increasing their offer from $8,000 a year to $16,300 a year. Very happy about this!

4/3 Received letter offering me $39,000 a year to go to La Verne. Whoa!

4/5 Received scholarship offer of $9,300 per year at Santa Clara. Love the campus.

4/8 Received emails from American and Lewis and Clark notifying me i'm waitlisted -- I'm just happy to have not been automatically rejected!

4/11 $20,000 a year scholarship from Seattle. Notified via packet in the mail.

4/15 Waitlisted at U of San Diego. Notified via email.

4/23 Received acceptance email from USF. Packet and scholarship info coming soon.

4/24 Received email from Pacific McGeorge saying they are still reviewing applications and may take up to 4 more weeks.

4/24 Received email from Hastings notifying me that I'm on their waitlist. Surprised about this one, I thought I would be automatically rejected! :)

5/15 Admitted to USF and Pacific McGeorge. Heard from McGeorge through their status check, received email from USF. $20,000 scholarship for first year at USF -- not renewable. Scholarship info from Pacific McGeorge is in the mail!

5/17 -- Received packet from Pacific McGeorge. $8,938 renewable scholarship.

Also, Santa Clara bumped my scholarship offer from $9,300 to $10,000 and I didn't even have to ask :)

5/21 Received a call and email regarding my acceptance off the waitlist at Lewis and Clark! Official offer is coming in the mail.

6/12 Pepperdine Status Checker says decision has been rendered and will be coming by snail mail

6/17 Received the letter from Pepperdine, and.......waitlisted. At least I have heard back from all schools at this point!

July/August: Picked Santa Clara. Got off waitlist at American. Picked American. Got really busy and stopped updating my status on this site!

8/15 Final update: After a roller-coaster admissions process, I ended up at UC Hastings, my first choice! This has made me believe that your dream school and #1 choice can actually happen. When I applied, I thought there was no way I could get in, but I was told to apply to a "reach" school anyways, so I did. I couldn't be happier with the result.

I think Miami and Pepperdine are the best schools on this list. Congrats on getting into one of them right away!

I'm deciding between Santa Clara and McGeorge at the moment. I know I will be happy at either school, but I just need to make up my mind! I also want to follow up with some of the schools where I am waitlisted in order to give myself as many options as possible. I most likely will stay in California, as this is where I want to practice in the future. I'll update this once I have made more decisions :)

This response is a little late, but I ended up withdrawing from American right after I was admitted to Hastings (2 weeks ago). Hope that opened up a spot for somebody!
