Extra Curricular Information

Solid softs. Took out the rest of my info and slightly fudged numbers due to paranoia. (Thanks, TLS/TM.) I will probably repost once my cycle is over. In the meantime, message me if you're interested.

All scholarships listed per year.

Additional info & updates

1/26 Might as well start using this a little more. :) Still waiting on everyone. WUSTL Complete Date updated yesterday (along with a bunch of other splitters), so I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. Finally completed apps to NYU and Stanford (fat chance, I know) today.

1/27 Submitted to NYU and Stanford today. NYU is definitely a reach, but there's a small chance they might like my softs. Stanford, on the other hand, might just send me an email saying "lol" instead of actually reviewing my app.

1/28 Rejected by UVA today. It was my first decision, but I'm surprisingly calm. I don't really belong in the middle of Virginia, anyway. ;-)

1/29 Was really hoping for some action from WUSTL or NU today. Oh well. Updated Complete date at AU, now Under Review at U of I, and Decision Made at Loyola...1/31. Apparently Loyola is in the future.

2/1 Accepted at Loyola Chicago today! Yay first acceptance!

2/2 In at WashU with Scholars in Law consideration. My week is off to a pretty good start!

2/3 Michigan status checker. Another school to obsess about!

2/4 Decision rendered at DePaul.

2/5 In at UIUC with $25k/year scholarship. WOW!

2/12 SLOW WEEK! Updated In Review status at Minnesota today. Not sure if that means anything.

2/12 (later) IN AT NORTHWESTERN! No longer care that the rest of my week was slow, this totally makes up for it. :-) (Also, for the record, I applied to a 4-year joint JD-LLM at Northwestern.)

2/16 In at U Minnsota via email.

2/17 Finally got my acceptance package from DePaul. Placed in special section of preferred waitlist at GULC. (I'm not giving up on you, GULC! I still want you to love me!) Complete at Stanford (lol).

2/18 Unshocking ding at Berkeley. I KNEW I should have dedicated a page of my PS to my love of all things hippie.

2/19 Withdrew from DePaul. LOCI to GULC.

2/23 Withdrew from Loyola.

2/24 Waitlist at American. Withdrew. Finally complete at Cornell! And "Decision" on status checker at Michigan, but can't login to Admitted Students site. Assuming it's a ding.

2/25 Thanks for $10k/year, Wash U!

2/26 Got the rejection letter from Mich that I knew was in the mail. Also got my pretty acceptance package from Northwestern :-)

3/2 Dinged at Columbia. Probably wouldn't have even bothered if they hadn't waived my application fee. Also waitlisted at UCLA via email around 3am my time.

3/15 UR to deny at Chicago in under a week. LOL! I actually wouldn't have even wasted my time/money applying there if I had done more research on them before I submitted. Seems like a horrible environment they have no LRAP.

3/21 I miss getting news.

3/25 Email saying I prob won't get any money from NU. Not shocking. Still waiting on my last 2 dings from NYU and Stanford, and IUB and Cornell.

3/29 Finally got my ding from Stanford! Almost at the end...

4/11 DR at Cornell. It feels like a waitlist...

4/16 WL at Cornell, IN off the SPWL at Georgetown! Just when I was settled on Northwestern. Looks like I have some decisions to make!

I finally decided on Northwestern. :-)

Hey, Congratulations on your cycle, it's inspiring me. I had a question about fee waivers though? When you say that they 'sent you one', what do you mean exactly? Aren't you sending in your applications through the LSDAS website? Also, what do "LOCl," "UR," and "LRAP" mean? Lol OBZ

I received emails from a number of schools offering me application fee waivers after I took the LSAT. I submitted everything through LSAC - each school deals with fee waivers in a different way, but with most of them it just didn't ask me to pay the fee when I went to submit my application. LOCI = letter of continued interest. Usually sent to a school when you're waitlisted. UR = Under Review LRAP = loan repayment assistance program. Since I want to go into public interest, these are very important to me! Hope this helps! -Beatrice
