Where are you going to attend?
I'm deciding as we speak, was waiting on the San Diego Waitlist, received a call today that they will be offering me a seat. They did mention it will most likely only be for a seat and no $$$...
Hey!! Congrats on getting off the SD waitlist! What school are you thinking of going to?
Great job again with the retake getting out of the sub 150 range...!!!!!! In my humble opinion you should base your decision on location post grad. I know that $$ from Kent & TJ is looking good right now, but do not let it sway your decision on where you want to be located for the next large portion of your life possibly. Chicago is a great legal market, but it is tough for people on the outside looking in. They have some great schools their, and then all the other great schools have grads that go there. San Diego has a smaller market....but USD runs it. It is hard to get legal jobs outside of the area (unless you have awesome connections or you are going to a Top 8ish school) you go to school unless you have a good portion of experience--which normally comes from the job(s) in the area you go to school. I think out of those schools there is really only 3 you should consider for school, unless you are wanting to stay in Miami/South FL area. USD, Kent, SW are going to give you much better placement than the others, but if you want South FL then you should reapply to FIU or even Miami. FIU is coming along in rep recently down there. Trying to transfer could be a tough gamble, but is possible. Everyone that goes to Nova (or at least a large portion) is trying to transfer out. TJ even with that great $$scholly is not worth it over USD--especially in San Diego. Your job search and salary will easily beat their offer down the road. Getting money out of USD will be tough without an LSAT around 160. They are very selective. Kent is a great school. I have a friend matriculating there this year. She was accepted into Emory, but did not want to be located in the ATL region so she took the big scholly there bc of the location being her dream.
