Finished in 3 years....good LORs & good personal statement

Going into this whole thing, I wanted to go to Vanderbilt first and foremost but Tennessee if I couldn't go to Vanderbilt.

I applied to Vandy early decision and was deferred to regular admission.......I knew my LSAT was really too low to hope for early decision acceptance. I was, however, happy that I wasn't outright rejected. Later on, I was waitlisted which was pretty much what I figured.

I applied to Miami as my safety school. Within three weeks of applying, I received my decision. So, I applied in October and knew by the end of November/early December. Definitely not a bad deal.

I applied to William and Mary because it's one of my state schools. I knew it was a bit of a stretch, so I wasn't too surprised when I was waitlisted.

After hearing the recruiter talk, I was really impressed with Georgia. George Mason made the list for the same reason W&M did. I received a phone call from the dean of admissions at GM offering me admission in December. Definitely a nice touch. Georgia waitlisted me but later sent me a letter telling me they'd kept me on the waiting list with a "few" other applicants. Whatever. Don't really care too much about them.

I applied to Wake Forest later on because I figured there was safety in numbers, and it was ranked about dead even with Georgia and George Mason. I was pretty annoyed when I didn't get a decision until the beginning of May and especially peeved when I was waitlisted. Give me a break. I really never had any intention of going there, but I should've been the one rejecting them. Furthermore, I only got a stupid email telling me I needed to respond by May 15th.....yeeah, since they were so quick to get in touch with me, I returned the favor.

Tennessee..........ahhhh.........so, because of the wonders of the postal service, I actually received an email for admitted candidates BEFORE I received my offer of admission. I called the office to figure out what was going on and found out not only that I was in but that I had a scholarship of $5,000/year. Awesome.

For awhile, I became a little obsessed with rankings and planned on attending George Mason. Then, I started thinking about where I really wanted to be.

So, I changed my mind and will attend University of Tennessee unless something significant changes. The scholarship amount is per year.
