I have been out of the medical field for over 13 years. I stayed home with my children during this time and homeschooled them. Let's just say that a lot changes in 13 years. I feel like using my medical background in the legal world would enable me to do some real good in areas I care a lot about. I've also come to appreciate and understand the legal profession over these years in a way that I didn't before. The two are really very different and you have to be able to think past school to make an intelligent decision. School is short (thought it often doesn't feel like it), a career is long. Good luck with your cycle. I hope you get to go to your first choice!
Just wondering what made you switch from MD toward JD. I've seen a lot doing it the other way around (JD to MD) Are you doing a full on career switch or using the JD to help your medical career? Just wondering because up until about a year ago I was at a crossroads between med school and law school and chose law school.
