10/12/16: Visited William & Mary's campus

12/05/16: Received a call from UCLA notifying me of admission. Big relief to get that first admit out of the way.

12/06/16: Interviewed with WashU via Skype

12/06/16: Received an acceptance e-mail from UC Davis.

12/08/16: Minnesota's status checker is showing I'm admitted. (Im)patiently waiting for e-mail or phone call confirmation now, lol.

Edit: Got a call later that day notifying me of acceptance.

12/08/16: Admitted to CU Boulder via e-mail. I'm very excited to go check out the campus soon.

12/12/16: Accepted by Vanderbilt via e-mail.

12/13/16: Accepted to WashU via e-mail

12/16/16: Accepted to Wake Forest via e-mail

12/19/16: Received an e-mail notifying me I was accepted to W&M via regular decision and not the binding ED program. Mixed feelings on this. C'est la vie.

Came home and found my admissions packet had arrived from W&M with scholarship info. Props to the school for having it arrive the same day as the acceptance e-mail.

12/19/16: Received an e-mail from WashU with my scholly offer. Was more than I had realistically hoped for. Top 5 option for me now.

12/19/16: Came home and had an admissions package from CU Boulder with scholly info. Theirs is kind of weird in that it's full tuition the first year, and $10k for second and third year.

12/21/2016: Received an e-mail placing me on Cornell's waitlist.

1/03/17: Got a snail mail package from UMinn with scholarship info. Very generous offer, and a nice way to start the New Year's cycle.

1/10/17: Received an acceptance e-mail from IU-Bloomington w/ scholarship.

1/12/17: Received an e-mail from UT asking me to write a "Why Texas?" essay. Because of the lower taxes, duh.

1/20/17: Notre Dame status checker showed "Decision Made" and seat deposits in the morning. Received the acceptance e-mail an hour later.

1/26/17: USC status checker changed to "Decision Finalized." Received an acceptance e-mail later in the afternoon.

1/27/17: Wake Forest e-mailed me my scholarship offer.

1/27/17: Received an acceptance e-mail from UDub. Gitaroo Dude circa 2015 would be crying tears of joy right now.

1/30/17: Got a call from Sam Riley notifying me of my acceptance to UT Law. Pretty stoked about this one as an out-of-stater.

2/02/17: Received my scholarship award from USC via e-mail. My first disappointment of the cycle.

2/14/17: Got ND's scholarship offer via snail mail. Soooooo thrilled with the amount.

2/14/17: UT e-mailed me my scholarship (late at night around 10pm PST oddly enough). It gives me in-state tuition plus $2000 each year.

2/15/17: Cornell e-mailed me with confirmation that I had been withdrawn from their waitlist.

2/22/17: Received an unsolicited scholarship increase from Wake Forest, bumping me up to full tuition.

3/01/17: Vandy e-mailed me my scholarship. Was the amount I was hoping would be my floor.

3/01/17: Dinged by Duke via e-mail.

3/10/17: UC Davis e-mailed me my scholarship offer.

3/13/17: Dinged by Berkeley via e-mail.

3/21/17: Received my scholarship offer from UCLA via e-mail. Was actually the result of some negotiation.

3/24/17: Received an e-mail from UDub notifying me I had received $0 in merit aid. AKA the ol' "Please pay us a $500 seat deposit before getting any aid consideration." Thanks but no thanks.

3/31/17: Michigan waitlisted me via e-mail.

4/07/17: After submitting a reconsideration request, Notre Dame upped my scholarship offer by $1k a year, for a new total of $108k.

4/12/17: E-mailed a proposal to UCLA, saying that if they'd raise my merit aid by $5k overall, I would withdraw all other applications and immediately matriculate. UCLA came back with the bump, at which point I followed through, bringing an end to my cycle. I'm now officially a Bruin.
