Additional info & updates

10/20/10 - Everything submitted. Huge weight off my shoulders. Now just going to check TLS obsessively until decision days.

10/28/10 - First acceptance! Duke via Priority Track. [Edit: Snazzy admissions packet with a very nice personalized note from the Dean of Admissions arrived about a week later. I'm v.impressed]

11/1/10 - JR1 invitation.

11/4/10 - JR1 actually happened. 7.5 minutes, but I think the last 2.5 minutes of that consisted of JR talking in response to my questions. To use the expression that defines my applications, the interview was decent but not stellar.

11/13/10 - Came back from a weekend out of town to find a letter from GULC in the mailbox. Also personalized to my application, which was a nice touch.

11/22/10 - JR2! Judging by TLS, I was the last person in the Eastern time zone to get a call. I'm beyond elated right now.

12/8/10 - Completely out of nowhere, got a call from YLS. I'm honestly pretty shocked.

12/10/10 - Purple envelope from NYU. No glossy brochure, no access to admitted students website, nothing but a letter in a cardboard envelope? A little bit underwhelming, New York.

01/10/11 - In at UChicago.

01/29/11 - VCE in the mail from Columbia with half-tuition scholarship. Gonna be hard to turn down, but my heart is pretty set on Yale at this point. I need to start withdrawing from some of the schools that I'm sure I won't be attending... it's hard to say no to such attractive offers though. Oh well, looking forward to visiting H and Y over spring break.

02/22/11 - Waitlisted at UVA. LoL.

04/02/11 - Got a (last-minute?) acceptance call from Stanford. Is it worth it to fly out to Cali next weekend?

Ha, I bet your application as a whole was anything short of stellar as a whole! Congrats!
