I'm pretty open geographically, but the PNW, Mountain or Chicago legal areas are most attractive to me.

I would like to get into either Business / Corporate, Environmental or Entertainment and Sports Law. I am not Big Law or bust, but I will try to move my way into these opportunities for the pay and exit options.

This page and community have helped me out a bunch so I thought I would pay it forward with my information.

I applied to law school last cycle (2018), but choose to retake the LSAT (4th and 5th time) and apply again.

I took the LSAT one more time in March to increase WL chances. Scored a 162.

In total, I have taken the LSAT 6 times, with a positive trend. 152 -> 153 -> 157 -> 157 -> 160 -> 162. I have really bad test anxiety and REALLY wish I could take it again, as I was PTing in the mid to upper 160s. However, I felt that the number of takes would be excessive and I would be late in applying for this cycle. I did write an addendum to address the number of takes.

I found that I was between the 25th and 50th percentiles of both my target and reach schools, so I decided to apply pretty broadly since I am predicting a bunch of WLs and uncertainty.

1/2/19 Accepted into Oregon! First acceptance feels great. Was prompted to apply as a safety because my girlfriend loves it there. They had some programs that I was interested in and the PNW is a place I want to live/work in. No word on scholarship yet, said it would be emailed by Feb 1st.

Email came 1/29 - 38,000/yr no stips!! I'm really hyped about this.

1/4/19 Accepted into Miami! Second acceptance of the cycle! I applied YESTERDAY. I found the school somewhat randomly and really enjoyed their programs. Seems likely a severely underrated school.

Got a call later from the assistant dean, informing me that I received the $40,000 / yr Dean's Scholarship. This is contingent that I do not get on academic probation.

Accepted to Drake via email! I'm super happy to have another acceptance, even if it is from my super-safety school. Received acceptance packet in the mail with 37K/yr scholarship, no stipulations. Also got a Tile and a nice handwritten note from the dean.

1/17/19 Waitlisted at Colorado

1/18/19 Accepted into Iowa via email! Super pumped about this - great pick me up after the CU Waitlist.

1/29/19 Decision sent from Notre Dame. Status checker doesn't have any seat deposit, so it's most likely a WL or Ding. Holding out for another waitlist!

1/30/19 Waitlisted at Wake Forest and Minnesota

Will be updating more after the cycle ends.

That's so wonderful! Do you know if your status checker changed before you got the email? I'm checking incessantly. Can't wait to hear back!

The email from Iowa completely threw me off guard... I was not expecting a decision for another week! So no, I did not see if my status checker changed or not, unfortunately. Good luck! I hope you get in.
