Were the interviews requested by the schools or did you somehow request them yourself? Was there something in your app that they seemed to want to know more about? Good luck on your cycle!

Sorry about the delay in responding to comments - I never scrolled down this far. Iowa - I believe I was yield protected. They thought it was a low chance for me to attend. They were right. It happens at a lot of schools. My advice would be to show interest if you are well above a school's medians (i.e. write an essay why you want to attend). Interviews - Northwestern and Vandy were strongly recommended on their websites so I requested; Wash U's was invite.

I'm surprised you were waitlisted to Iowa. With your numbers it would seem that you should have been in. Any idea why?
