10/8/12: Had an interview at UMKC today and was told by the Professor/Admissions Rep that I was in with an in-state tuition waiver. Emailed later to confirm unanimous decision. Official letter to be sent in a week or so.

10/16/12 Accepted via email from John Marshall. Letter to come with terms soon.
Also received a letter from UMKC today. Non-resident tuition waiver for the first year $4,000, then $3,000 for the next two years.
Updated on 12/4/12: changed to Kimminger Scholarship which is $7,000, $5,000 and $4,000.

10/19 Got a letter from JMLS in the mail telling me that I was awarded the Dean's Scholarship. $30,00 per year. Not bad for a first offer! There is still quite a bit of tuition left to cover though

11/2 Admitted via phone call to Washburn.
Also received an invitation from UMKC to apply for two full-tuition scholarships. Gotta get the stuff together!

11/13 visited Washburn on Friday. Everyone was really nice but I had mixed feelings. Today though I found out they will pay me to go there! $23,000/yr in scholarship. WOW. Topeka is looking a little better now!

11/19 mailed admissions packet from Drake w/ a $22,000 scholarship/yr. I think I have to stay in the top 1/3rd to retain.

11/26 mailed an admissions packet from Baylor (summer start) w/ $18,000/year scholarship. Must have a 2.75 to maintain. I feel very honored :)

11/27 Admitted via email to DU. Offered $26,000/yr if I maintain a 3.0

11/29 In at Tulane via email! Packet to come in mail

11/30 In at KU via phone call with $10,000/yr! Rock Chalk! : )

12/3 admissions packet from Tulane came in the mail. No financial aid info yet

1/23 negotiated some more financial aid from Drake. Now $27,500/yr if I stay in the top 1/3 of the class

3/26 contacted by KU and notified that the GPA requirement for my scholarship was lowered from a 3.0 to a 2.85. This relieves some pressure.

4/1 Rejected from Wash U "due to the excessive amount of applications they received" this cycle (probably due to their free app), although they were "impressed with my credentials". They let me down easy.

4/5 I have decided on KU Law. They offered me a good deal and the location offers stability and plenty of resources for my son and I. Plus, I am a Jayhawk at heart :) Rock Chalk!
