10/31/2016: Penn State Acceptance Via Email. Full Ride Scholarship!
11/28/2016: Accepted to University Of Miami Via Email. $60,000 Scholarship/3 years
11/30/2016: Baylor Fall Waitlist via Letter in the mail
12/1/2016: Accepted to Florida State Law School Via Phone Call. Full Ride Scholarship!
12/2/2016: UT Austin Application held for further review. Did not make the early decision cut
12/5/2016: Accepted to Baylor Summer Start Program. Still Waitlisted For the Fall. I Think I'm gonna take my name off the waitlist for the Fall.
12/9/2016: Accepted to American Via Email.
12/13/2016: Accepted to University Of Denver Via email. Full Ride Scholarship!
12/15/2016 - Accepted to the University Of Colorado Boulder via email. I did not see that coming!
12/16/2016 - Accepted to SMU! I'm really starting to think these laws schools are emailing the wrong person lol My Sister also did her Graduate Education at SMU. maybe that played a factor.
1/20/2017 - Accepted to University Of Houston Via Email.
1/20/2017 - Rejected from the University of Chicago. Not surprising at all.

The Rest of the admissions decisions are all posted above. I will continue to update my profile if anything changes on the waitlist. This really has been an unpredictable cycle. I've been waitlisted from Texas A&M University all the way to Columbia Law School. I think I am leaning towards the University Of Houston Law Center.

Final Thoughts:

Apply Early!! Do not underestimate the importance of applying early! This is a rolling admissions process. Apply Before November ends. If you are applying after November I think that's late in the game. Lastly, make sure you make yourself stand out. Checking a box for your race isnt enough. Write a diversity statement explaining how you plan to bring diversity to the classroom. I really focused on my advocacy for the Inner city communities and mentorship. Really capitalize on whatever it is that makes you different from the next person with the same numbers as you. Remember Law School admissions in very unpredictable, so don't count yourself out for any school. Well that wraps up my cycle. Good luck Future Attorneys.

Good luck with your cycle. I applied to Columbia as well and I was considering applying to St. John's but I got into Boston College first I think I'd prefer to go there over St. John's if I don't get into one of my other top choices.

Yea I applied specifically to Penn State Dickinson Law School. For the full ride scholarship, I would have to remain in good academic standing to keep it all 3 years.

Congrats on UF!!! Did you hear back via email? Also, was your status ever "File review conplete-no decision made?" My status hasn't changed in over 2 months :(
