Additional Information
$5,000 a year merit scholarship to Fordham.
Fordham acceptance via email.
Vanderbilt acceptance comes in tiny ding-like envelope.
UT acceptance in thick ding-like envelope. But THICKER than Vandy so not as heart pounding.
I think UT is stalking me with all the nice letters urging me to go there. Called the admissions office to ask a question about financial aid, and the woman was like "Well, we want you to come here, otherwise we wouldn't have accepted you. Congratulations." all casually in the convo. Man that made me feel good after all these horrible rejection letters:)
Not exactly crying over ND reject after UT letter. Have seen lots with lower sccores get in... was I YP because married? Oh well.
Harvard's rejection letter is by far the nicest reject letter I've recieved. Though it would be nice if they date the letter a day behind or a day later than 02/14 :)
Emory-- Applied to JD/REES program, not yet recieved notification from REES. Decision for JD dated 2/28/05, recieved 3/10 (GA --> TX) Is that normal time frame for regular postal mail?
Emory letter dated 2/28, recieved 3/10 (GA-->TX) ...is that normal?
Michigan Waitlist info via email. OMG. I don't think I can attend, considering how bad economy in Michigan is... husband needs job.
3/25/05 - Withdrawing from: Vanderbilt, Washington Univ., Emory, and Fordham if I can find one of the conveniant forms from them to do so.
3/28/05 - Recieved 17,500 a year scholarship offer from Emory. Already withdrew (Sent letter this morning). Still going to UTexas (which, btw, with scholarship, is same price or cheaper still than Emory)

TFA=Teach For America. Why Fordham over UT?
UT vs. Fordham Wednesday, December 31st, 1969 at 7:00 pm
To get a job in law in NYC, Fordham is stronger than UT. That and easier for husband to get a job in NYC than here. That and I went to UT for undergrad. All factors combined. :)

I haven't looked into Vandy, but I recommend buying in South Bend, IN. Real Estate is really inexpensive.

Sorry about the way Harvard turned out. Would you mind fixing your decision date for Harvard? Right now it confuses the sorting system when someone sorts by decision date, and it makes your record pop up on top as the most recent decision. Congrats on UT!
