Hi Matt! I got accepted to Nova to their AAMPLE program too. What are your thoughts on that? I really wanted to go to that school but I just have reservations. : (

HI EllaWoods, Congrats!! I was hoping to be fully admitted as well! Like you, Im waiting On ST. Thomas most importantly. I am hoping to get in there as they have the best Clinics in the state. If that doesnt work, Ill possibly try the AAMPLE program and enter in a seat deposit at another school i am accepted to. AAMPLE is said to be 3L classes in a conditional program which has me a little worried.

Thank you! I'm crossing my fingers. So if you get into St. Thomas will that be your school of choice to attend? I actually just received username and password to St. Thomas's student account today and I emailed them asking if that meant that I was admitted because I have yet to receive an acceptance letter! I'm crossing fingers here!!! What else do you know about St. Thomas if you don't mind me asking and why didn't you apply to FIU?

Funny thing, I also received a username and password email from ST. Thomas. I just called them and they said I was still in review. I checked my app status and it said " Denied". Kind of pissed! why send that email to begin with!! I liked St. Thomas due to it's Legal Clinics and reputation in South Florida. It definitely was one of my first choices. I like FIU but my numbers aren't good enough for them. Hoping Barry, Famu or AVA give me the approval now! How about you? What school are you hoping to get into?

You got denied!!!? Why send you that username and password. That's really messed up. Jeez! Mines still saids under review. Ugh. I was thinking of Barry in Orlando, I really wanted Nova, but if they truly wanted me then they should have just accepted me. I'm currently still a student there getting a graduate certificate so I don't start paying off student loans yet and I received my masters from them in 2015! So I'm a bit upset with them now too! So waiting on Barry and FAMU and I might apply to AVA. Thanks for your thoughts! :)

I like AVA because of the small class sizes. Barry is a good school though and FAMU is affordable. I'm with you on NOVA, I was accepted for their MBA program and thought that would help with LAW admissions. Hoping your decisions come in quick. The waiting sucks!

That sounds like a good idea. Are you working full-time and willing to take 6 weeks of intensive work into it. I would if I lived down there, but I was going to make the move for an acceptance not for AAMPLE. I'm still debating and just waiting a few more days before I decide. I didn't think about that. Sadly I work two jobs at the moment. That might lead me to go to another school. I like Nova though :(. Definitely keep me posted on your plans as well!

I too received the email from St. Thomas for Username and password, I actually went through the whole sign in and all my info was in there and an area where it said my lsat score and next to it i said "accepted". Afterwards, I go onto my status checker and it said Denied. I was so confused so I called and they said my app was still in review and I should receive a letter in a week or so. Why not just tell us ? Have any of you heard of an instance where status checker says denied then receive a summer cond. invitation? I am pretty pissed myself about this sick joke.

Where did it say accepted? I couldn't find that on there. Either way it's messed up! The email went to multiple people too. So far i've never heard of that happening to someone! I understand, it's frustrating to say the least.

I also received an email saying "Welcome to St. Thomas" with login info but my status checker says tat my file is still in review. What kind of sick joke is this!?

Hey, also beware of Ave Maria! I went to go visit and the school is extremely small and lacks a lot of what a law school should have. They have 4 classrooms and not many professors. They are also in probation and under investigation with the ABA and they run the risk of getting their accreditation revoked

What's going on with St. Thomas? I emailed them and they apologized for the confusion but saying that the file is still under review. I don't like how this is their first impression, I'm kind of scared of a school that doesn't have their act together and are sending mixed emails to candidates. They might be having an internal system error, but who knows! ha!

I emailed as well and they said it was a error. But other people have received the same email and their status checker read denied. While their profile said accepted. Seems very disorganized. I was told my letter was in the mail. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Our numbers are basically the same and since you're also an URM, that will help. I've gotten accepted at the University of Dayton and Loyola NOLA. Give those a shot! You honestly have better prospects than most of the schools you've applied for. Are you pretty set on staying in Florida or are you happy to move out of state?

Hi guys ! I being reading reviews about all of these schools.. but honestly I don't have much of a choice since I am moving to Sarasota, and I need a school near by. I am married with a daughter, and my husband just got hired by the sheriff department... soo... my school choice was Barry, St.Thomas, or Nova... but in light of his hiring I'm very limited to say the least... any thoughts on Cooley or Stetson ?

Stetson is by far the better school but Cooley is more flexible in class scheduling. Stetson by a mile though..
