Additional info & updates

- This is my second time around. I took the LSAT 5 years ago and bombed it horribly!! My old score falls off Sept. 2012 so I'm planning to take the February 2013 test and will possibly push it up to December 2012.

-I plan to go to law school part-time so I can continue to work.

- PRAY FOR ME!!! :)

7/19/12 - sent transcipt request to undergrad. Mailed requests for letters of recommendation to professor and former boss.

11/12/12 - changed my mind about taking the Dec LSAT. Haven't studied in months. Work has consumed me and I just haven't had the motivation. I need to regain & refocus because I am still signed up for the February test.

2/9/13 - took February LSAT. Very proud of myself for making the step. I am praying for a great score!

2/11/13 - personal statement finished and sent to friends for proofing. working on my second person statement should be finished soon.

2/12/13- gave letter of recommendation to my boss for edits. hopefully he will sign tomorrow so i can upload it.

- my other boss said he would write his own and have it to me tomorrow.

**even though I took the LSAT over 5 years ago, I feel like I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing this time and I'm really going to apply to schools this time.

2/25/13 finishing touches on my PS. all LORs sent in.
- almost had an anxiety attack when I thought about waiting on my score next week. *Jesus please be with me*

3/3/13 - Sent my first round of apps to JM-ATL, GSU, Jones, Mercer and Charlotte

3/6/13 - Received my LSAT score today I'm excited. It was a huge accomplishment from the first time I took it. I know I will have to limit where I can attend...I'm still grateful!

3/9/13 - applied to Cooley (tampa campus). Have family there I can live with. :)

Praying for strength and favor during this process.

Applying locally for PT programs. I'm praying that the admissions council will taken into account my experience in the field and not just my numbers.

3/14/03 - received rejection email from Atlanta John Marshall. - oh well, I'm praying this is not a sign of how this cycle will go.

3/27 - Accepted in Jones!! YAY Thank you Lord!!! Feels great to be in somewhere!

4/2 - Rejected at GSU. Oh well it was a reach anyway.

4/4 - accepted into Charlotte's aample program

4/10 - waitlisted at Samford. Well it's better than being rejected. Gonna wait to see how Mercer decides and then will make my decision thereafter.

4/12 - accepted to Cooley throught its PEP program. I applied to the Tampa location but they changed my campus to Lansing. Said if I retake LSAT and raise score to 144 I can attend any campus.

4/15 - Received an email from Mercer saying that my application has been placed on hold. They will be making a decision after the 1st of May. *I'll take it, better than a rejection*

4/16 - sent my LOCI to Samford and Mercer - hope to hear some great news soon

4/18 - received call from Dean at Charleston giving me the great news of my acceptance!! YAY

5/7 - received an email from Mercer, application placed on WL

5/27 - its been a waiting game to see if I hear anything from Samford or Mercer...nothing...still waitlisted.

meanwhile, I've sent my $300 seat deposit to Charleston. Another $500 due next month. Will be withdrawing my app from Jones since I can't attend school full-time. Should be doing that sometime this week.

10/21/14 - Starting this journey again, preparing to take the LSAT again in February. It just was not feasible for me to stop working my full time job to attend school. My plan is to get in a part-time program in Georgia, therefore I can continue to work. Here we go!

4.27.17 - Absolutely can't believe I let 4 years pass and am in the same spot. Life just took over. We bought a house, I had a baby in january, just had surgery for something else 3 weeks ago and so on and so forth. Working from home and decided to do this one last time. I have a lot more to strive for because I have a child to worry about now. Well here we go.....

5.12.17 - Registered for the September LSAT! Just got real!

5.14.17 - added a couple of reach schools that I'm going to apply for after I kill the LSAT!

Have you thought about savannah law school? They are on working on their ABA and seem hopeful they should have it I believe the admissions office said next year. And what about charleston school of law?

Thursday, July 12 2012 at 08:00 PM

No I haven't really looked into either of those schools really. I will check into Charleston. I once lived there. Thanks for the input!

On the side note, I too took the LSAT few years ago (and bombed it big time), but I felt like this is the right time for me to do what I'm supposed to do and really plunge my way through this cycle. Hope that this time will serve us well :-)

I applied to Cooley 02/26/2013 and I havent heard anything. I know at least 3 people who applied after me who already got a response. I guess they hold out on there rejection letters. Oh well I guess I can only wait and see.

ONE MORE TIME!

Back at it again. Iife took over. I'm leaving the info from the schools I applied to in 2013 because I will be applying to those same schools after I kill the LSAT in September. No time to take the June LSAT I just had surgery and a baby.

Good Luck!!
