Pretty weak resume. Only involved in two really good extracurriculars, and have two VERY strong LORs. I also think my personal statement is well above average.

Additional info & updates

12/16 - Accepted to Kansas via phone call. $25k/yr contingent on a 3.0 GPA. Drops to $10k/yr if not maintained. I really like Kansas as an option now, not too far from home and great student life

1/7 - Accepted to Penn State via email with full tuition scholarship! Acceptance packet to come in the mail soon. Not really sure on how badly I want to go there but a full ride is always hard to pass up

1/15 - Accepted to Kentucky via email. Scholarship info to be decided later

1-23 - Accepted to Florida via snail mail. No word on scholarships yet, really the main reason I applied is because they have a good tax law program

1-30 - Waitlisted at IU via email. Not totally unexpected, but still pretty bummed because it was at the top of my list and it's really close to home/the market I want to work in

2-6 - Accepted to Mizzou via phone call

2-13 - Email from UK awarding me a $48k scholarship contingent on a 2.9 GPA. This was my number 1 choice for a long time, so definitely going to try to negotiate for more money

2-19 - Acceptance packet from Missouri came; they offered in-state tuition plus $45,000. I am also currently negotiating with the University of Kentucky, trying to make it a more affordable option as it is my top choice.

2-20 - Accepted via phone call at UTK. I applied all the way back in November so I was starting to sweat a little bit. Hoping they give me a decent scholarship

3-5 - Accepted via email at UW-Madison. Highest ranked acceptance so far! I doubt I'll get any scholarship money so I'm not sure how realistic this is

Tried to negotiate Missouri to waive the remaining $11k I would have to pay to go there, but they wouldn't. Pretty disappointing, that would have made a huge difference in how I considered them

Kentucky scholarship upped to $70,000! That pretty much swings it for me, unless Tennessee comes back with a near-full tuition offer

3-27 - Rejected at Alabama. Wasn't expecting to get in but I thought I would at least get Waitlisted. Oh well!
