Additional info & updates

3/05/09 - Waitlisted at Fordham--found out through online application status checker.

3/02/09 - Rejected by Penn and BU. Small envelopes.

2/23/09 - Rejected by Georgetown, small envelope.

2/21/09 - Rejected by GW, small envelope, snail mail. :-(

2/13/09 - Accepted at Seton Hall, big envelope, $20,000 for the first year and $5000-$10,000 for the next two years, depending on my GPA.

I submitted last minute apps for Washington & Lee and William & Mary last night.

2/12/09 - Placed on waitlist at Cardozo. Small envelope. I'm surprised, expected an acceptance letter.

2/11/09 - Rejected by BC, throwing me into a panic. Really want to go to a top 30 and am feeling very discouraged by the GW deferral and this rejection. In other news, received small envelope from UConn with acceptance a few days ago.

Game plan: write a solid letter of continued interest and send to schools as soon as possible, along with an updated transcript, since I scraped some really awesome grades that they haven't seen last semester.

I'm very nervous.

1/26/09 - In at American! Big USPS envelope!

1/24/09 - Accepted by Temple Law! Snail mail, big envelope, scholarship. Yay, am actually going to law school!

01/15/09 - Sad news! First decision [well, almost-decision] is an e-mail from GW: was passed over for early decision. However, application is being held for consideration in the regular process. I didn't really expect to get in Early Decision because GW is definitely a reach for me and since they offer full-tuition scholarships to their ED admits, I'm sure they're looking for stellar stats. Anyway, fingers crossed.

01/03/09 - Just applied to Seton Hall after being offered a fee waiver by e-mail. No decisions as of yet, but am assuming offices have been closed for the last two weeks or so and will try not to expect until the end of this week.

12/25/08 - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Blissfully relaxed this break--am finally free of exams and all apps are out. Awaiting decisions and putting utmost effort into NOT freaking out every time a friend or acquaintance announces having received a decision. Will update as soon as I have news.

Hey, when did you find out about your UConn scholarship? Was it with the decision letter or separate? I am still hoping I will hear something from them!
