Additional info & updates

10/10 - Admitted to Duke after priority track review. Wrote a Why Duke essay.

11/3 - KB1 email
11/7 - KB1 - lasted about 10 minutes
11/21 - KB2!
11/22 - Accepted at Michigan through the Admitted Students Website. Wrote a Why Michigan essay.

12/12 - Dean's Scholarship from UMich
12/14 - Admitted to UVA with full tuition scholarship via phone call. Wrote a Why UVA essay. Also, admitted to NYU via phone call.
12/19 - Admissions package from UVA arrived in the mail, along with a big purple envelope from NYU.
12/20 - Accepted at Penn via phone call. Wrote two optional essays, including an art & law essay that I had a lot of fun with.
12/30 - Withdrew from Duke.

1/4 - Acceptance call/email from Stanford! Reallly excited about this one!
1/13 - Waitlisted at UChicago.
1/27 - Accepted at Columbia through mail. Unfortunately, no merit scholarship means I probably won't be attending.

2/7 - My dad told me that Columbia sent me a dictionary in the mail. Nope, just their absurdly bulky admissions folder.
2/9 - Rejection letter from Yale.
2/10 - Withdrew from UChicago. This was disappointing, as I would have very seriously considered attending if I had been admitted, but I need to start shrinking my list a little.
2/28 - Withdrew from Michigan.

3/8 - Dean's Scholarship offer from NYU
3/12 - Received generous need-based grant aid from Harvard; will be withdrawing most other applications shortly
3/26 - After receiving generous need-based aid at my top choices, I withdrew from UVA, NYU and Penn. I'll leave Columbia for awhile, but it looks like I'll be deciding between Harvard and Stanford.

4/27 - Withdrew from HLS and Columbia. After visiting both HLS and SLS, I found that Stanford was a better personal fit, and mailed my seat deposit yesterday. This was an incredibly difficult decision, but I'm absolutely thrilled to be attending Stanford next fall!
