Additional info & updates

1/07: First acceptance feels good. I hope I get more good news.

1/21: Finally something. Vermont sent me an email of acceptance. This is a top school for me, since I want to study environmental law. Still waiting on California schools. I hope most of the news comes before March.

1/28: Waitlisted for Hofstra. I am really surprised by this, I thought they would deny me. I am hopeful now that California schools will have some good news for me.

1/29: Finally got my first California school acceptance, Western State. The status checker says a scholarship letter will be sent out tomorrow. I hope it is a good offer.

2/3: Two rejections in one day. Both of the schools were decisions were understandable. My LSAT score was going to beat me down eventually. My list of schools is getting smaller, which is exciting and scary. I need some more LA region schools to say yes. Fingers crossed luck comes tomorrow.

2/4: Got my acceptance email and scholarship offer from Charlotte Law. Interesting that my status checker was never updated from application received.

2/6: Thomas Jefferson acceptance letter came in the mail. I never received a status checker profile from the school. Happy that another California school is added to the list. Still waiting on a couple more. Really want good news from Southwestern and Whittier.

2/11: Golden Gate status checker says a decision has been rendered. But I have to wait until the letter comes in the mail to find out my status. This is going to be difficult. Really hope I hear good news from them. Still waiting on Southwestern and Whittier

2/14: The golden gate letter came today and I got accepted! Also was awarded my biggest scholarship so far. Only 4 more schools to go.

2/19: When I started this process Loyola was my number one choice. After watching how the school has changed the level of admitted applications I soon changed my desire for the school. Happy I did not expect to get into the school. I just really want a yes from Whittier. If I get in there I am going.

3/6: Finally some more news after a long string of silence. I was taken off the waitlist for Hofstra. This is my highest ranked school I have been accepted too. Still waiting on Whittier.

3/11: Some more good news. I was waitlisted for Southwestern. They really took forever to get back to me. I am defiantly surprised that I was not denied. Whittier has now passed the 6 week mark. I am now hoping to receive a good scholarship from Hofstra.

3/18: Finally the long wait came to an end. I was accepted to Whittier. Now I must wait to receive my official letters. Hope I get scholarship money. I am deciding between Hofstra and Whittier.

3/27: After touring Whittier and seeing what they had to offer me I have decided to attend Hofstra. I am really excited to experience NY. I will try to remember to update this after my first year.

Congrats on your acceptances and potential ones off of a waitlist! Make sure you are not choosing schools based on ranking. Unless someone is accepted to a T14 or T8 school really, the location of the school should matter the most because many firms and job opportunities will not give you the time of the day if you chose a 76....65....97....69....113 ranked school over their lower ranked school. NY legal market is very saturated by their local schools and many more from around the country and T14... make sure you know what you are getting into up there with going to Hofstra. IMO Hofstra, Cal Western, and Southwestern are the schools that would put you in the best position from your list above. Vermont is good - if you want to live in Vermont, NH, Maine. Best of luck! Take care, CaliJax05
