Additional info & updates

Undergraduate in 2002. Graduate degree in 2003. Seven years of work experience. Having trouble finding an academic LOR.

UPDATE 1: Obtained a letter of recommendation from an academic. (Sent thank-you card.)

UPDATE 2: Unhappy with October LSAT score of 164. Signed-up for December test immediately upon release of scores.

UPDATE 3: Many long hours of practice from November 1 to December 11 paid off. Improved my LSAT score from October to December by 13 points. I am very happy with a 177. Now to finalize my applications this weekend.

UPDATE 4: Submitted applications to NYU and GULC with only one LOR. Second LOR came in 2 days later. Contacting admissions to request they consider a supplemental LOR.

UPDATE 5: Submitted two more applications: UVA and Columbia. My "Completed" date on my GULC status mysteriously changed from 1/20 to 2/3 (not sure if that means anything), but otherwise I seem to simply be in line for review.

UPDATE 6: NYU Decision Letter Sent 2/17/11. GULC status updated to Completed 2/17.

UPDATE 7: In at NYU via ASWeb at about noon EDT. In at GULC via ASWeb at about 4:30pm. Stoked! Also, UVA status updated to UR 2/21. No ding/WL email yet, but its expected.

UPDATE 8: In at CLS via email at about 4:30pm EDT. Hoorah!

UPDATE 9: Waitlisted at UVA by email.

UPDATE 10: NYU scholarship offer came in on 3/24. 30k for each of first two years. 15k in 3L, with the option to bump to 30k if I work in public interest for the summers (as I plan to).
