ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

1/30/17 - accepted to Texas Tech via email/online status checker and offered $6k per year.

1/30/17 - accepted to Arkansas via snail mail. Status checker just said "decision made." Offered $7k for the Fall semester as a non-resident scholarship, and then another 7k for the Spring semester contingent on earning a 2.0 GPA in the first semester. After the first year, the scholarship goes away because I could be considered a resident at that point and the tuition cost would decrease significantly.

1/31/17 - Waitlisted via status checker at Baylor for both Summer and Fall 2017 terms.

2/1/17 - Accepted to St. Mary's via snail mail. Status checker said that a decision letter had been mailed.

2/2/17 - Accepted to Oklahoma by phone call.

2/3/17 - email from Oklahoma says I was admitted for the summer term. Realized I accidentally sent in 2 summer apps instead of 1 summer and 1 fall. Didn't bother to fix it because I know I won't be going there.

2/4/17 - received St. Mary's scholarship info by mail. $10k towards first year tuition. Also was placed in their Merit Program and eligible for a law fellowship to further help pay tuition. Also received the official waitlist notification from Baylor in the mail and I will be emailing the form back to express my interest to remain on their waitlist.

2/7/17 - Accepted to Texas A&M via status checker. No emails, snail mail, or scholarship info yet.

2/14/17 - Texas Tech emailed me and raised my scholarship offer to 7.5k per year. I didn't even ask.

2/14/17 - Texas A&M admissions packet came in the mail. They are offering a 60% scholarship as long as I remain in good academic standing. 60% is valued at $51,458.40 total.

2/15/17 - Oklahoma packet came in the mail. Offered 45k in total. 10k per year residency and 5k per year merit.

2/17/17 - accepted at South Texas via email. 15k per year as long as I maintain a 3.0 GPA.

2/18/17 - got a letter from St. Mary's saying my scholarship of 10k will be renewed every year, and that the Fellowship is worth 6k per year. So total offer is 48k

2/21/17 - accepted to LSU via email.

2/27/17 - denied at University of Houston

2/27/17 - LSU admission packet received in the mail. 25k per year as long as I maintain a 2.75 GPA.

3/3/17 - removed myself from Baylor's summer waitlist. Still on the Fall waitlist.

4/5/17 - Waitlisted at SMU

5/1/17 - didn't ask for it, but received a letter in the mail from LSU raising my scholarship to 30k/year

7/7/17 - rejected from Baylor's waitlist via status checker. Sent an uncommiting LOCI and that's it. Probably wouldn't have attended even if accepted.

8/22/17 - rejected from SMU's waitlist via email. Sent a LOCI, an extra LOR, and updated grades. Didn't work. Attending Texas A&M. Good luck everyone.

Just wanted to pass on my luck to you. I appreciate your honesty and your candor. I align very closely to you, and I am waiting as we speak for this Feb's LSAT score. I will be ecstatic if I can get your 159. Cheers mate! Added you to my watchlist.

You and I have similar numbers and have applied to similar places. I think this means I will most likely get waitlisted/ rejected from both U of H/ SMU at best. Anyway, how did SMU let you know? Did they e-mail you or did you just check the status checker? Also, did your status checker ever move from "application complete" to "in review" during the SMU review? Every other school seems like it does it, but SMU has kept me at "Application complete since March 1st which is concerning.
