Additional info & updates

12-20-10 - Just got my first decision letter. In at Georgetown! Came in a card-sized envelope, so I was faked out thinking it was just a "Happy Holidays" message. Very welcome surprise at the end of a long day.

12-23-10 - Application under review at University of Chicago. I thought it was under review on the 3rd...

12-30-10 - Submitted my app to NYU way later than I wanted to. We'll see what happens there...

1-10-11 - Got my Loyola acceptance via email. Not nearly as personal as my Gtown acceptance. It was my safety, so this was expected. Decided not to submit my Yale and Vandy applications. Surprisingly, lost a bit of momentum after I got my first acceptance.

2-10-11 - Waitlisted at UChicago. The dreaded indecisive decision. Blerg.

2-11-11 - In at NU! Go 'Cats.

2-17-11 - On reserve at Columbia. Anybody have insight into whether Reserve is better than Waitlist or vice versa?

3-24-11 - Just got financial aid package from NU. Nothing but loans. Let's see what GULC offers.

4-1-11 - No scholarship offer from GULC either. Ugh. Not looking forward to being $250K in debt three years from now. :-/

4-14-11 - Just got an email from GULC saying they're reconsidering their financial aid offer. Looks like there may be a silver lining after all!

4-19-11 - Offered $20K for each year I attend GULC ($60K over three years, mathletes!). Looks like I'm going to be a Hoya Lawya!
