Thanks Hancock. To be honest, NYU was just a leverage school for me-- UChi is my true love. It would be nice to have an NYU scholly against Chicago though, so I may try that. Looks like we're number twins, but you have a better explanation for low GPA and a more compelling background than me. I hope your cycle goes as well or better than mine! It's been a serious, and welcome, surprise.
You should leverage UChi's scholly in a letter to NYU seeking a comparable offer if you're aiming for NYC; They've been known to do a lot (financially) to try and poach UChi's students
