Rejected from American. I don't understand this one at all.
I think it's yield protection -_- They know you wouldn't go if you got in given the other schools you will get into with that awesome LSAT score. Brush it off and congratz on your other applications! =)
thank you!!!!. I am sure you are right about yield protection. its just never fun to receive the rejection email especially from a school I liked. I see that you got accepted their, congrats. any ideas of what school you are leaning towards?

Yeah. Hahahahaha. I saw that after I commented here. Congrats again that is huge . What do you think was on your application that pushed you over?
They rejected me due to grades that were a decade old (had above a 3.9 after taking time off and going back). Holistic approach my arse.
HAHAHAHA @prizefighter. I thought the same thing. what a load of garbage they spew. my GPA should be in the 2.5-2.6 mark but grades from 12 years ago pulled me down. I am starting to feel more and more that the only things that really matter are LSAC GPA and LSAT score. my supplemental materiel has done a bit of good.
Oops. Just seeing this. What pushed me over? I dont know, I have an interesting story and I think my PS was really strong. I did a diversity statement. I went to a pretty tough undergraduate and I prayed and fasted about getting in.
Could you give me some pointers on the PS and diversity statement? Congratulations you did great!
Columbia sent me a letter today stating that they needed a note from a previous school so that application is probably going to take longer now.
