ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

I'm posting this stuff (now that my cycle is essentially over...would still love Columbia though).

The type of law I want to pursue is directly aligned with my work experience and extra-curriculars. I really wanted to emphasize in my personal statement that I knew exactly how I wanted to use my law degree.

I visited Columbia and NYU to emphasize my interest. I also got my undergrad to call them to emphasize my interest.

I had four letters. Two from professors in my major and minor. One from an employer and one from a Judge that I clerked under.

I consider myself tremendously lucky. Statistically, I outperformed my numbers by a tremendous amount. I received great aid too. I honestly believe my softs played a role with this as it diversified my candidacy beyond the typical diversification elements they consider.

Could I have retaken the LSAT? Sure. But I worked 60+ hours a week and it would have been hard to try again.
