Additional info & updates

Upward grade trend. Death in the family severely affected my grades sophomore year, but since then, major-level courses have been mostly A's.

11/20 - UF status check says decision has been made. Expecting a letter of acceptance in the mail in the next few days, but not counting chickens before they hatch.

11/25 - UF acceptance packet came in on Wednesday when I was out of town for Thanksgiving. Feels good to get in somewhere, even though it's a backup. Alabama sent me an email for a fee waiver so I think I'll apply there as well just because it's free. Hoping I hear from UGA soon.

11/29 - Applications are now "in review" at Alabama, U of Washington, Boston College, and UGA.

12/4 - In at UGA. Was expecting this, but still great news. WUSTL sent me an email about an optional Skype/phone interview, which I will definitely take them up on. Not sure whether they are just picking from some borderline candidates or doing their yield-protection duties or what, but I'll interpret it as a sign that I'm still somewhat in the running there.

12/12 - Got my UF scholarship letter. Scheduled interview with WUSTL for next week. Read on the TLS Forums that many of the people interviewed were offered admission during the phone call, so pretty excited about the potential for that. They would definitely be among my top choices if I got in. Also - dinged at UCLA. Pretty much expected, so it's not a huge disappointment.

12/17 - Phone interview with WUSTL tomorrow. Hoping for good news at the end, as some others have gotten. Sent an ED app to Georgetown. Might as well throw another Hail Mary while I can, and I'll hear back in 3 weeks.

12/18 - In at WUSTL over the phone interview. Dean Clifford was extremely pleasant and helpful. Very excited to visit St. Louis sometime next semester and check it out. Feels great to crack the T-20 so early in this cycle, and even though I'm hoping for some more good news from some other schools, I would be totally pleased to attend Wash U.

12/19 - Dinged at UT-Austin. No surprise there. Waitlisted at Minnesota - that's a bit disappointing, but still better than a flat-out rejection. "Decision Made" at Notre Dame, so that letter should come in the mail in a few days hopefully. Interested to hear from them because my numbers point to being rejected or waitlisted, but I felt good about my application (especially the "Why ND" essay) and their turnaround time was very fast.

12/25 - Waitlisted at ND. Better than a rejection, but with WUSTL, probably not going to stay on the list. Want to hear from BU and BC sometime soon.

1/7 - Update at BU as of 1/2. Complete at Georgetown as of 1/4. Waitlisted at UW and accepted at Alabama with a big scholarship.

1/9 - Update at BU as of 1/8 now. Exciting for me because there's some talk on TLS that people who get 3 or 4 updates at this time of year are in. Not sure about that, but I'm optimistic.

1/11 - And GWU joins the waitlist party as well. Would have been nice to get an acceptance there, but they weren't above WUSTL on my list either so not really concerned. Got an email to apply for a Public Service Scholarship from BC, which is encouraging, although they may have just sent that out as a form email to everyone who applied. No news from BU still.

1/25 - Waitlisted at Georgetown. Obviously would have loved acceptance, but still pleased that there's at least a chance I could get in now. Much better than a rejection. Waiting on BU, BC, USC, Vandy, and Emory now.

1/25 (Updated) - Got into BC via email! Awesome news, as I really love Boston and have heard great things about the culture at the school. They obviously have great placement in Boston and the Northeast too, so very high on my list.

1/30 - Withdrew from UGA, Alabama, and UF today. Going to Boston to visit BC for their Admitted Student Day on 2/22. Emory should send a decision in early to mid-February along with scholarship info, so getting excited for that.

2/10 - Waitlisted at Vanderbilt. Very excited to still have a shot here. Definitely one of, if not the, top choice for me.

2/12 - Glad to get into BU yesterday. Very good school, and I most likely want to practice in Boston or the Northeast, so great get.

2/13 - In at Emory with 66K scholarship!
