Additional info & updates

Based on what "everyone" (pre-law advisors, current/former T-20 students, anyone with a blog even marginally related to the law school admissions process, and certain @$$hole colleagues) has expressed to me, I have very little chance of being offered admission to any of the schools I'm applying to. The general consensus is that schools are absolutely fixated on #s and USNWR has the Top 100 by the balls. Well, I'm trying anyway. I have strong intangibles that I believe *should* outweigh my crappy LSAT score and less-than-smashing GPA, so I suppose I'm giving that thing called optimism a try.

hey i respect your view on this. you feel how i feel. We are applying to many of the same schools and we have a fighting chance at getting. i dont know if i am tooo optimistic or just crazy but not everyone on the lsat scores 180 so they need people to round out the class. optimism is the way to go!! good luck on your cycle and god bless. oh and put your dates up!!! ttyl

Good take on it all

Hey we have the same numbers. You're attitude is great. While some of the more polished an upity may scoff at your attitude, it's that same attitude that will help you succeed (both in law school and life). Damn the torpedos and damn the man Violet. Take that boat to shore! I'm going to try for Marshall myself, I hope we both get in. The world could use a few more people with this sort of "plucky" outlook. Best wishes!

thank you, comrades

I really appreciate your comments. Crazy, malcontent, whatever...glad I've got some company. As you can see I postponed my applications until the 2010 cycle. Submitting in February 2009 wasn't going to do anything other than deplete my bank account and make me the owner of 10+ rejection letters. I am retaking the LSAT in September and I plan to submit my applications as close to October 1 as possible. I'll post dates, etc once we get closer. Good luck to you both; I look forward to following your progress.

Don't sweat it

3.2 gpa is still good. i have similar numbers (3.27, 152). you also have some similar schools as I do. as far as arrest go, i've heard as long as it's nothing too terrible and you are honest about it, then that's what is important. i'll be watching you. good luck.

No worries

Apply where you want..even if it's a reach. There's more to you than an LSAT score! Good luck!
