Additional info & updates

My LSAT score keeps me up at night but bottom line is I'm not good at standardized testing. Plan on using my SAT scores to prove that. Even though I scored low, I was still able to excel once I did get to Cal, getting a 3.76 GPA while working part-time.

GOT INTO BOALT
Wednesday, November 25 2015 at 10:21 PM

I nearly screamed at work when I opened the email. I'm still waiting on Stanford and Yale, and waitlisted at Columbia. Just proves my LSAT score doesn't define me. Hell yeah.

Congrats!

Wow congratulations! You've been accepted/waitlisted at some really good schools. I had a low LSAT too so I know how you feel. Is boalt your first choice?

Warm congratulations

Great job! I too am at UC Berkeley, with a high GPA and a mediocre LSAT score... hoping that Boalt will open it's door for me too :) Anyways, just wanted to say, great job and congratulations - it must feel good to have all the other efforts you made outside of the LSAT made a big difference. Best to you in your endeavors!

Visited Columbia
Wednesday, November 25 2015 at 10:21 PM

Thanks for the comments y'all! So I flew out to NY to visit Columbia to see if they are worth waiting for, and the conclusion is: No. It came down to the fact that Columbia does not have a great public interest community/opportunities, it's more of a firm-focused school. So I am going to Berkeley in the Fall, unless by some miracle I get into Yale. Still keeping my name on Columbia's waitlist though in case I do get in, I can use it as a bargaining chip to get more money out of Berkeley. I know, I hate this manipulative game as much as the next guy.

Graduated
