Extra Curricular Information

Pretty strong work experience (banking and tech).

Also, I'm an author with a number of books (military/political fiction) out there, eBooks, to be sure, but ones that have been sold. I've placed an OpEd in the National Post (one of Canada's national newspapers) in the past, among many other places.

Additional info & updates

Half my degree comes from SFU, half from Harvard (via their extension school). Letters of recommendation both from Harvard Professors.

Right now, I just turned thirty and I'm in somewhat of a hurry. I'm looking into some of the accelerated JD programs - though, for financial reasons (Canadians don't have great student aid options), I might end up not going until 2015 instead of 2014.

Also, I'm considering an LSAT re-take, since I took the test without any real prep and my weakest section was always Logic Games, which I'm told is the most "learnable" section of the test. But, on the other hand, I do wonder if my relatively low GPA makes it not really worth doing, since I feel like even if I were to pull a 170, it'd probably keep me out of top-top schools, especially since the sine qua non of this for me is to do this as fast as I can while paying as little as I can.
