Hi, how do you like VLS so far? What did you think of the MELP program? I am planning on going there in the fall for the dual degree program JD/MELP. I am a little concerned about the size of south royalton. What do most students do in their free time? Good Luck with your applications! Are you thinking of staying at Vermont for your law degree? I've got nothing but great things to say about VLS - I've mostly been involved with the Environmental Law Center. The professors that I've had are outstanding, and my classes have been challenging. The MELP program offers insanely in depth courses in every environmental discipline - as an enviro guy it's kind of a "kid in a candy store" scenario. I have been commuting from Burlington this year (about an hour, I don't really recommend it) so I can't speak to much to the SoRo life. I've heard it can be a bit dull, the town is TINY and its inhabited almost entirely by law students. Definitely visit and see how you feel about it before committing. There's a good chance that I'll stay on for a JD because this year has been so good. If I do stay I plan to move a bit further south, but probably just to Montpelier (about 30 minutes away) instead of all the way to SoRo. adgrosve
