Additional info & updates

Sent in all applications in early-mid October.

12/17 update: I'm going to update this with more details when my cycle is over, but MAN am I happy with how it's gone so far! Maybe I was pessimistic before, but I feel like I'm outperforming my numbers. Perhaps this cycle is more lenient on mediocre GPAs, or maybe my softs pushed me over the edge!

4/29 update: At this point, cycle is officially over! Got the rejection from Harvard a few days ago, not that I ever expected anything different. I'm thrilled with my choices, and I don't think even .2 points on my GPA could have given me a better cycle (though it would have been great to have more scholarship options.) I'm deciding between Michigan, Penn, NYU, and Columbia, intending on practicing public interest law.

I wrote "Why X" statements for every school that wanted one, applied for RTK for NYU (no interview), and had to write LOCI for Harvard and Columbia. I did the interview at Northwestern.

I'm 2 years out of undergrad (top private), with an extremely public interest oriented resume (both during school and since I've been working full time.) Two LORs from professors and one from an employer.

Yes, I was held at Columbia in February. Thanks, good luck!
