Notes:
All fee waivers merit based, a few requested but am guessing I would have gotten them anyways from those schools.
For Penn, wrote the "where I'll be in 5 years" essay
For Michigan, wrote the "why michigan/contribution essay"
Filled out the program you'd contribute to box for UCLA, and wrote about the interesting program for Wash U/Northwestern.

11/6/09: rejected by texas via status checker. ouch. am out of state but was pretty worried that not even getting deferred was saying something about the quality of my app.

11/18/09: accepted to fordham! though it is a bit of a safety of sorts, the school falls high on my list for personal reasons of really wanting to stay in nyc so depending on how my cycle goes, this might just be a top choice.

11/30: DR at Georgetown! ahh

12/1/09: Accepted at Georgetown by mail. Personal note about my legal interests/personal statement from the dean. (note: live closeby to GULC so mail came quickly)

12/9/09: IN AT PENN!!!!

12/17/09: decision mailed at vanderbilt, got the acceptance package when i got back from christmas vaca. guess they didn't get my withdrawal e-mail on time:)
