11.19.12: Received a phone call from UCLA. Completely unexpected. Definitely brightened my day.

11.26.12: My third update date on the Georgetown status checker. I know the status checker says the dates don't mean anything, but I expected a letter in the mail and received one several days later. Lovely personal note from Dean Cornblatt.

12.10.12, AM: Deferred to regular decision for Cornell. Ah, well.

12.10.12, PM: "Decision made; watch for email" from Duke. Of course, no word on what the actual decision is. Cruel!

Happily, it was an acceptance (via email an hour later). Withdrew from Cornell.

12.17.12: UPenn, UCR1

01.09.12: UPenn, UCR2

01.17.13: UPenn, Application Held for Further Review. Happy that it's not a rejection or waitlist!

01.18.13: Harvard, Application Held for Further Review. Happy that it's not a rejection or waitlist!

01.22.13, just before 3pm: Northwestern, Decision Letter Available Within 24 Hours. Accessed letter a bit after 4pm -- Waitlist. Ah, well.

01.23.13, PM: Berkeley status has changed to "Your file is complete" (from "Your file is under review"). Odd.

01.24.13, AM: I have now been sent to faculty review at Berkeley. Happy about this, since I was preparing myself for a rejection.

Also, My Northwestern waitlist letter has mysteriously transmogrified itself into a "hold". Curious!

02.08.13: Yale decision letter email -- rejection. Unsurprising. I ain't even mad. First (and I hope only!) rejection of the cycle.

02.12.13: Columbia decision letter email -- Reserve. I think it's a fancy term for waitlist. I sense a long spring/summer of decisions ahead of me.

02.15.13: Berkeley status checker -- Waitlist. Got the email a couple minutes later. Happy (belated) Valentine's Day!

02.15.13, PM: UChicago email -- Waitlist. Better than a ding is this year's mantra.

02.28.13: Stanford status checker -- Decision Letter Sent. By golly, I wonder what this letter could possibly say!

04.03.13: Bye bye, Harvard.

06.05.13: Admitted to Berkeley off 2nd quartile! Alas, I must withdraw.

07.08.13: Email invitation from Columbia for a phone interview. WHAT.

07.12.13: Accepted to Columbia by phone.
