Additional info & updates

Kent and Pitt's initial offers were both $90,000. Pitt bumped their offer immediately upon request. Kent did so about 2 months after request. Did not attempt to negotiate Seton Hall or Temple. Wash U refused to negotiate.

Temple contacted me over the summer to offer additional aid. Since their initial offer was only about $6,000/yr short of a full ride, I would assume I could have received a full. It was very late in the summer, otherwise I may have accepted.

I decided to retake and reapply. I had deposited at WUSTL but withdrew early in the summer. See: anotherdatapoint2017 for info.

Received interview request from Texas. TERRIBLE interview experience. Was told, almost verbatim, that the admissions committee did not understand my application, did not know why I was interested in law school and did not understand what I could contribute to the "fifteenth best law school in the county". I am out of state and my numbers are competitive (at best) for the school, so I was not sure why they decided to interview me if that is what they thought of my application. Based on what I was told about their impression of my application, I can't believe they didn't deny me sooner! The interviewer was really nice about everything, but it was brutal. WL the following day.

RE Texas: what was wrong with your app? What is hard to understand about an application?
