Additional info & updates

11/26/13: acceptance email from Montana; packet followed in mail within 2 business days; scholarship information will be sent after the first of the year. Rec'd a follow-up call from faculty member in an area of law in which I expressed interest; he was very helpful, and I appreciated the personal contact.

12/5/13: acceptance phone call from Willamette. Awarded Dean's merit scholarship of $22,000 (renewable each year, as long as maintain 2.9 GPA).

12/6/13: acceptance email from Lewis & Clark. Packet to follow by mail with financial aid info.

12/6/13: acceptance email from Seattle University. (Yes, two in one day - I couldn't believe it!) Packet to follow by mail with financial aid info.

12/6/13: to add to the excitement of this day ... I cannot believe this ... I got an email from BYU: they want to interview me!! I called back, and now have an interview appointment next week. Wow!! They are definitely a reach with my LSAT. Maybe schools really *do* look at the whole picture. :) Here's hoping!

12/11/13: interview with BYU. It went very well, and ended with an offer of admission. !!!!!! **Don't lose hope with a LSAT score that seems "low" for a certain school!** They definitely considered my full application package and not just my numbers.

1/15/14: Financial Aid packet from Seattle; awarded $12,000 Trustee Law Scholarship.

1/27/14: Telephone call from UofU; offered admission!! Official letter mailed today, and packet to arrive next week with financial aid info (merit scholarships are automatically processed, and will be awarded in early March).

3/4/14: acceptance email from Oregon; official letter followed by email, with award of $6,000 per year all three years.

Congratulations!! I don't know if you noticed, but we're both much in the same boat. I'm also a Utah Non-trad with similar LSAT (not as good academics as yours, but a successful career before now), and I would dearly love to get into BYU. Would you be willing to tell me more about your interview if I get asked for one? Any advice for getting an interview? Congrats again--I'm happy for you!

Oregon question

Hi! Congratulations on all of you acceptances. I applied to Oregon and I have a question about them. Were you looking at your status checker regularly? If so, how long did it take for you go from "In Review" to being accepted? I've been waiting a couple of months and my anxiety is taking over. Good luck in all of your future endeavors!
