Extra Curricular Information

Nothing exceptional. I'm involved on campus but to be perfectly honest, I'd say I'm less involved than the average student. I teach LSAT and I've had a couple decent summer internships. I do volunteer a fair amount, but it's nothing special.

Additional info & updates

Splitters - you have hope.

I'm honestly in shock with how well the cycle has gone. I applied ED to NU (hoping to win the $150k lottery) and was held. I may consider tossing out applications to Columbia and Chicago, but I'd have to get a second LOR first (N, M, N all only required one). I have fee waivers almost all of the T14, besides HYS. Again, might apply in hopes of getting $$, but it's probably too late for that. All things equal ($$-wise), I'll most likely pick NYU over any other non-HYS school.

As far as softs go, I'm quite close with the prof who wrote my LOR, but I have no reason to believe it was exceptional. My PS is about a unique, somewhat tragic aspect of my upbringing. I don't think it was particularly well written - I had to rush it in order to meet NU's ED deadline.

Can you tell me why you chose NYU over Michigan?

Congrats on the acceptances. I'm graduating with around a 3.4/175, but am applying after 2 years consulting, working in the Pentagon. Advice on how to overcome a low GPA?
