-6/10/09: After a long, long wait I got a phone call from the head Texas Tech admissions counselor offering me a spot. I never thought I'd be more excited to spend three years in Lubbock, Texas!

Thanks, and sorry for the delayed response, I haven't checked in a while. To answer your question, I'm confident that my admission is a result of having actively pursued the people in the admissions office. I attended 3 out of 5 (or 6) prospective student receptions that TTU hosted during the spring semester in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. I also visited Lubbock in April for an interview. Additionally, I called and/or wrote some member of the admissions committee, admissions staff, or faculty every couple of weeks. Basically, I networked my tail off, then bugged them until they got tired of hearing from me!
