Extra Curricular Information

11-30

hopefully start hearing something within a few weeks here, thought I'd take my guesses & see how accurate I was at the end of the cycle.

Outright rejects: Boalt, Michigan, UVA, UW, Ohio St, UCLA

Possible W/L first but ultimate rejects: Davis, Hastings, GULC, GW

possible w/l first but optimistic about eventual (hope im not jinxing it) admission: Wash U, IUB, ASU, UofA, Loyola, USD, Chapman

Additional info & updates

Had a looong rough stretch in my early to mid-20's did some god awful damage to my cumulative GPA. Have a 3.7 over the last three years since I got my head out of my ass and a 3.9 since I transferred from community college. Unfortunately as we all know the 2.61 is all that matters. (eta: maybe not?)

11/22: interview request through email from Georgetown. Means I have a non-zero chance hopefully?

12/16 first rejection from GW, was hoping for W/L at least....not good

12/27 first acceptance from WUSTL...doing happy dance

01/20 in at georgetown! can't say im shocked since following the TLS thread provided some pretty strong clues for about a week now, but just succesfully accessed the admitted students website to confirm it. I feel like they took a chance on me given my gPA and the need for a c&f addendum so that will serve as a good source of motivation. I'd love to wait out the cycle to provide more splitter data but don't want to end up like the columbia guy, so as soon as I get the actual letter I'll be withdrawing everywhere else. If any decisions arrive in the interim I'll post them but its great to know where I'll be in the fall this early

similar numbers here (slightly higher gpa, slightly lower lsat) - good luck with your cycle!

hey fellow splitter!

I would recommend shooting an app to Northwestern as well--they are the T14 school that regularly dips the lowest in terms of GPA, and they value work experience quite a bit, if you have any. Good luck, I'll be following your cycle.

I think you may be underestimating yourself! I'm sure you addressed your past self in your personal statements, and with a 172 LSAT you have more doors open than you think. Good luck!!

Hey benito! I'm sorry to hear about GWU ):!! I hope you get some love from other schools instead. I'm 100% sure WUSTL will accept you though, so look forward to that :D!

:D :D !!! I am SO GLAD that you finally heard back!! Congratulations! I know how freaking hard it is waiting on decisions with a huge split. Here's to hoping both of us are done and happy with our cycles within 2-4 months! :P
